Electrical Feedthroughs
Vacuum electrical feedthroughs transmit power, signals, and sensor readings across the vacuum boundary while preserving the integrity of high vacuum (HV) and ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems. Each feedthrough seals one or more conductors through a flange so current can pass into the chamber without introducing a leak path.
ANCORP offers a full range of electrical feedthroughs to match the electrical requirement, from low-voltage sensor signals to high-current power delivery and high-voltage isolation. Conductor and insulator materials, connector standards, pin counts, and flange mounting are selected for the voltage, current, and bakeout demands of the application. Options mount on ConFlat (CF), KF, and ISO flanges and serve research, semiconductor, and vacuum coating and deposition systems.
Select a feedthrough type below by its electrical function, or contact ANCORP for a configuration matched to your system.
Coaxial Feedthroughs
Coaxial feedthroughs carry shielded, low-power signals across the vacuum boundary with minimal interference. ANCORP’s line covers BNC and SHV-5 bayonet connectors in both grounded and floating-shield configurations, rated from 500 V to 5 kV, on 1.33″ and 2.75″ ConFlat or KF16/KF40 flanges — ideal for instrumentation, diagnostics, and signal transmission.
Power Feedthroughs
Power feedthroughs deliver high-current, high-voltage power through the vacuum boundary without compromising vacuum integrity. ANCORP’s copper-conductor, alumina-insulated line spans 8 kV to 30 kV and up to 800 A across 1-, 2-, and 4-pin configurations on ConFlat and KF flanges (KF16 to KF50). They are built for power delivery in deposition systems, vacuum process equipment, and research applications.
Ceramic Break Feedthroughs
Ceramic break feedthroughs, also called ceramic isolators, provide electrical and thermal isolation between vacuum components while sealing the vacuum boundary. ANCORP’s alumina-insulated, ceramic-to-metal line offers 5 kV to 60 kV isolation with 0.63″ and 1.37″ tube adapters on rotatable ConFlat (1.33″, 2.75″) and KF16/KF40 flanges. With a helium leak rate below 1×10⁻⁹ atm·cc/sec, they are built for high-voltage isolation in research and vacuum coating systems.
Multipin Feedthroughs
Multipin feedthroughs route many independent conductors through a single vacuum port, saving flange real estate without sacrificing vacuum integrity. ANCORP offers threaded MIL-C-5015 circular connectors (4–10 pins, 700 V, 10 A per pin) and high-density MIL-C-26482 connectors (up to 32 pins, 1 kV, 3 A per pin) in single- or double-ended builds on ConFlat and KF flanges — ideal for power, signal, and instrumentation pass-through.
D-Sub Feedthroughs
Subminiature D (D-Sub) feedthroughs pack multiple signal and instrumentation conductors into a compact, high-density connector while holding vacuum integrity. ANCORP’s MIL-C-24308 line offers 9-, 15-, and 25-contact configurations rated to 500 V and 5 A per pin on ConFlat, KF40, KF50, and ISO flanges, with optional UHV vacuum-side connectors. They are suitable for dense wiring in research and semiconductor systems.
Thermocouple Feedthroughs
Thermocouple feedthroughs bring accurate in-vacuum temperature measurement across the vacuum boundary. ANCORP’s Type K line carries one or two matched thermocouple pairs through miniature connectors on both the air and vacuum sides, on 1.33″/2.75″ ConFlat and KF16 flanges. They support temperature monitoring in research, semiconductor, and vacuum coating applications.
High-Current Feedthroughs (400 A, 1000 A)
For applications that draw very high current at low voltage (50 V max.), ANCORP offers dedicated 400 amp and 1000 amp high-current feedthroughs. These feature one-piece construction that eliminates any leakage path through weld joints, with oxygen-free copper (OFC) and brass conductors and PTFE insulation for added strength and durability. A water-cooled 1000 amp unit is available for sustained high-current loads.
Replacement Parts
ANCORP stocks replacement parts for our high-current electrical feedthrough line, making it easy to service or rebuild installed units without replacing the entire assembly.
